German Embassy, Belgrade

The bronze-colored components – coated with IGP-HWFclassic 591TE – are perfectly color-matched to the building’s façade and interior.

Today’s diplomatic missions often resemble fortresses. Security was also a top priority at the newly constructed German Embassy in Belgrade, which opened its doors on March 9, 2020.

The building’s façade consists of locally sourced, almost white travertine stone from Serbia. The façade materials also inform the color scheme inside the building. In the central interior area, the walnut wall panels that characterize the heart of the building merge seamlessly with the bronze-colored façade cladding of the portal. The bronze-colored components coated with IGP-HWFclassic 591TE are perfectly color-matched to the building’s façade and interior. The window frames, doors, interior glass wall frame, elevator, as well as the aluminum cladding on the stairs, were all coated with this robust and elegant powder coating. For the handrail on the steel balustrade, the architects from karlundp in Munich opted for a wet coating from Dold AG. The Durocal 10 coating is a perfect match for  IGP-HWFclassic 591TE. The spray application produced an attractive, homogeneous surface.
